Privacy notice
Last updated: September 2026
The short version: the only personal information this site collects is what you type into the contact form or send me directly, plus anonymous analytics about how the site is used. It comes to me, I use it to reply, and I do not sell or share it.
Who is responsible
This site is run by Stu Clark, based in Christchurch, New Zealand, trading as EightySix Digital. For anything about your information, email stu@eightysix.digital or call 027 315 9912.
What is collected
If you use the contact form: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, the type of help you are after, and your message.
If you call, text or email instead: whatever you send in that message, and your phone number or email address.
Everyone who visits: Google Analytics records anonymous information about how the site is used, such as which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and what kind of device was used. It is not used to identify you personally and I never try to.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies to work out whether a visit is a new one or a returning one. That is the only cookie this site sets. There is no advertising or retargeting code here.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out add-on, and the site will work exactly the same.
How it is used
To reply to you, to quote for work, and to carry out work you go on to ask for. Analytics is used to see which pages are worth keeping and which need rewriting. That is all. You will not be added to a mailing list from the contact form, and there is no automated follow-up sequence.
Who else handles it
Formspree processes contact form submissions and passes them to my email inbox. Vercel hosts the site and keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and operational reasons. Google Analytics processes the usage data described above. Microsoft hosts my email.
All of these process data on servers outside New Zealand. Nothing from this site is sold, rented or shared for advertising.
How long it is kept
Enquiries stay in my email while the conversation is live, and for as long as there is a business reason to keep them, such as records of work carried out. Analytics data is kept for the default retention period set in Google Analytics. Ask me to delete your enquiry and I will, unless I am legally required to keep it.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask what information I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. Email me and I will deal with it.
I work with businesses in Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada. If you are covered by the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR or similar law where you are, the equivalent rights are honoured the same way.
Spam protection
The contact form includes a hidden field that automated submissions tend to fill in. If it is filled in, the message is discarded before it is sent. It does not collect anything about you.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
Get in touch if any of this needs explaining.
